Mid Cycle bleeding/spotting on CD 12, Ovulation?

I had mid-cycle spotting/bleeding on the 15th. I wasn't charting, but my dr told me i ovulated on the 14th, and that's why I was spotting on the 15th. I've never had this happen, and I guess I'm asking if anyone has had this? Of course we would DTD on Valentine's Day, and he wouldn't pull out in time. I think I also got some sperm in there when I check to see if there was any in there!
