Positive hpt followed negative results??

Hi All, I was wondering if you could shed some light on my situation. I took a hpt on a boots digital at 12DPO and it was positive stating 'pregnant', to be sure I took another test 2 hours later on CB Digital and it came back negative, I am now 18 DPO and 2 days late for AF, but all tests since have been negative. Does this sound like a chemical pregnancy? I have strong symptoms for being pregnant including a massive increase in the tenderness and size of my boobs. I haven't been to the doctors yet as I am fully expecting AF to come, but I guess just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation?
