Effectiveness of taking Femara with Endometriosis?
Hi ladies,
My fertility specialist thinks I definitely have Endometriosis. He wanted us to try taking Femara for 3 cycles first before I have a Laparoscopy done to remove it/see what stage it is at. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with Femara with Endo or has heard of anyone that has had success with it? We are not doing IUI or anything with it, just trying to conceive naturally. I do ovulate regularly to my knowledge. He still wanted me to take it. I am a bit concerned about the fact that it is supposed to make you produce more eggs within one cycle since I have an FSH level of 7.6 which is slightly elevated for my age.
Anyone have any input?

I have had endometriosis since I was 15 I am now 29' I have had 4 surgeries and have managed to have two beautiful boys naturally, straight after laparoscopy but I have never been told about the drug you are talking about... So I can't help you with that but know anything is possible even without drugs sometimes just a big cleanup inside makes all the difference. You may need to have more surgery if you try for more than one baby.

Hi motherbee! Thanks SO much for your response! I am trying Femara for 2 cycles and if not pregnant then I am going to have a Laparscopy done like you're speaking of. Thats SO encouraging that you have had two boys with Endo after the surgery! It is so worth it. We have been TTC #1 for 6 months now and just found out a couple weeks ago that I probably have Endo which explains a lot. Years of really rough cycles and thinking it was normal and now so much clarity. It's comforting to know that there is absolutely still hope having Endo. Thanks for the encouragement!!! :)
