Do you know how long your Luteal Phase (LP) is? Knowing that helps a lot because it rarely changes much, so not matter what day you ovulate on, you can calculate when your period is due. 35 day cycle is at the high end of a normal cycle, so I wouldn't worry about that part of it. If you're very regular, then I would test again, since you would be late. However, if you ovulated later in the cycle than you normally do, your period would also be late because your LP would remain the same.
It's very frustrating and I understand not wanting to get your hopes up. But, you're never out until your period shows. So, I'd just keep testing! If you're two weeks or more late, I'd schedule an appt with your doctor. Good luck!!!!
