3dpo with a minor UTI -antibiotic question!
Hi, so I'm 3 dpo and woke up with a UTI. I get them frequently and knew it would get worst if I didn't get antibiotics. The dr prescribed levaquin. I just read that it is not a good one to take pregnant, however being only 3 dpo does that matter? Will this affect implantation? Should I just consider myself out this month? Any answers would be helpful. :(

You may want to call your doctor and request Macrobid (generic: nitrofurantoin). It treats UTIs and is perfectly safe to take while TTC/pregnant.
I get UTIs pretty often, especially after all the sex during fertile weeks, so I've been through this a couple of times with doctors. My doctor assured me that Macrobid is completely safe and would be something I could take while pregnant if needed also. So it's definitely always a huge weight off my mind to know I can treat a UTI without worrying about what I'll do if I end up with a BFP.
Also, as long as you finish all the antibiotics before you get a BFP it shouldn't matter. Antibiotics shouldn't affect implantation in any way. If you do get a BFP and still have some antibiotics to finish call your doctor and explain the situation and see if s/he will switch you to a different antibiotic. Always take antibiotics till they're all gone.
Best of luck!
