Has anyone tried the DIY sugar pregnancy test? If so, did anyone find it accurate?

I placed 1 cup of sugar on a sterile paper plate, then collected my urine in a sterile plastic water bottle. I then used a dropper (brand new out of the package) and dropped my urine on the sugar. It clumped up immediately. I then had my friend do it (exact same way) who is definitely not pregnant and her urine dissolved the sugar right away. The reason I did this test is because if you look at my HPT images I keep getting a line, but it is always really thin looking. Definitely blue, but just thinner than the control line. I have an appointment on Monday to see for sure. But this test gave me a little more hope(: If you have ever done this test and gotten a positive result and you weren't pregnant, please let me know! I don't want to get my hopes up if there is a high false reading rate among this test. Thank you!!!
