Ovulation spotting a day before ovulation pain?

I just want to know how many of you had ovulation spotting during the fertile window and then only had ovulation pain a few days after? Does this mean the theory of pain after ovulation is correct? Where the pain is caused by fluids seeping into the fallopian tube? I had fertile mucus during the spotting as well. Also been BD every day since period so did not miss the window and will keep BD just in case but I was always under the impression that ovulation pain usually happens on the day of ovulation...not after? I know they say it can be after but are there more people that experienced this?
