Question

Ovulation possible with low progesterone?

Hi,

We have been trying to conceive for quite some time now. We had a early miscarriage earlier this summer. I suspect that I have low progesterone since I spot before and after my period. I chart my cycle each month and it looks like there is a clear spike in temperature right after the positive OPK. This morning I took an at home progesterone test and it came back negative meaning I had low progesterone. I guess my questions are:
1. If I have definite temperature spikes and sustained temps does that mean I ovulated
2. Has anyone used these at home progesterone strips in conjunction with a blood test, are they even accurate?
3. Can you ovulate had have low progesterone?

Thanks in advance.

I was "ovulating" every month, but my number was extremely low. Of course I had this tested by the Dr. One month it was 6.9 at 7 dpo. The number says I ovulated, but a good ovulation should be close to the number 10. I did fertility meds and nothing worked. Did an IUI, and still nothing. My cycles were starting to get screwy. I went from 33 day cycles to 26 and 27 days. So I s y oped everything and started taking vitex. Month 2 of taking it, I had my progesterone tested again and it was at 9.4. Fast forward about 7 months and I was pregnant with no intervention, or even trying. We were ttc a total of 4 years.
