Need advice!! Missed pd, negative tests, am i pregnant??

My last period was on 07/23/17. I have a 40 day cycle. Ever since i gave birth back in 02/03/17, i have had a period every month starting in May, then in June, and July. But i skipped one in August and now that we are in Sept i have no period yet. I am also breastfeeding so i dont know if that has anything to do with my missed period. I have taken several cheap dollar tree pregnancy tests but all came back negative. The last time i tested was on 09/04. Ive had increased appetite, more back pain, & hot flashes at night. I dont know what else to think. Should i buy an expensive test or should the dollar tree brand Veriquick be as accurate since im already late?
