High dose of prometrium?

I have had 2 back to back miscarriages this year. Both times my progesterone was low. The second time my OB prescribed Prometrium 400mg vaginally 2 times a day. Needless to say, that didn't work. We are TTC again this month and the Dr is having me start the prometrium again at the same dose. So far, I haven't ever seen a dose that high in the research I've done. Is it high, or am I just being paranoid?
