Use this calculator to help you decide when to take your first home pregnancy test.

There is a test on here under "Tools & Tickers" called Intercourse Timing Calculator. You just plunk in your last menstraul cycle and typically how long your cycles are and if you scroll to the bottom it tells when to BD for a boy and when to BD for a girl but you must know when you ovulate for that to work. I know it doesn't really answer your question but its worth just trying the calculator and see what comes up; won't hurt. Hope this helps.

X sperm (female) are longer-lived, but slower swimmers. Y sperm (male) are short-lived, but faster. BD'ing closer to ovulation increases your chances of a boy, BD'ing further away from ovulation (but still close enough for fertilization to occur) increases your chances of a female. Sounds crazy, but it's backed by real science. Timing is pretty crucial, and of course, there are no guarantees.

Not sure if it really did work but we were going for a boy & read that boys die off faster so the closer you are to ovulating and have sex the better were chances are so we did it and got a boy. So the opposite is for girls the live longer so spread sex out a little. Give it some time for the boys to die off. Try the calculator on here to help pick a gender. I tried it!

To get a girl supposedly to have sex as much as possible. Before ovulation and at ovulation time. For a boy I've read you have to have sex close as possible to ovulation only. I want a boy. I have 2 girls so we will see. Lol. I like being able to have sex for more days to have sperm catch the egg. But obviously everyone is different.
