What exactly are u trying to accomplish with ur cm? Do u need more, or fertile cm? If ur looking to increase the amount of fertile cm that u currently produce, mucinex will not do that for u. It only thins what u have. It won't make hostile cm less hostile, it will make it thinner (still hostile tho). If u make enough fertile cm and just want to thin it out a bit, u want guiafenesin to be the only active ingredient, so no letters after "mucinex".
Try to break ur dose up if possible. This isn't something needed in the body so u don't wanna take it for longer than u have to. Start about 4 or 5 days before suspected O and stop at O.

I use preseed, which mimics fertile cm. I have conceived twice with it,;so highly recommend it. I get it from amazon

you should be taking 400mg of pure guafasin with no other added ingredients. I used it 4 days prior to ovulation and two days after (October, 25th) and just found out IM PREGNANT on Nov, 4th :) IT WORKS! This was my third round of 100Mgs on Clomid.
