Question

Estimated 13 DPO, Negative HPT but huge amounts of stretchy CM? Am I pregnant?

According to my cycle tracker my period should be due tomorrow, unless this is the time when my cycle is going to run on the longer side (longest is 31. Average is 29) I did get a big glob of EWCM the day before the tracker estimated ovulation to occur so I thought I would be right on track but now I've taken a FRER HPT the day before my cycle was predicted to start and it came up negative (I wonder if I messed it up by holding it in the urine for more than 5 seconds by accident?) I went to check my CM and it seems like fertile CM??? Sorry if this is TMI but it's very watery/slippery/stretchy. First bit I grabbed stretched 6-12 inches. Only thing I can think of is A. My body is playing tricks on me or B. I ovulated and implanted laster than I thought and it was still too early to test?? I guess I will wait a few more days and see if AF comes or not??

Any thoughts, support, suggestions, personal stories would be greatly appreciated

Usually the stretchy-like consistency that is nearly clear is what you get during ovulation. When the consistency is a little more rubbery and opaque, that's after ovulation or happens when you missed ovulation. You also get a clear, mucus-y fluid when your vagina is "cleaning" itself, or sometimes before your period. If you have random unpredictable periods, that could be the problem. Are you tracking everything on a calendar or app?

I use the "mydays" app. Been tracking over a year. As far as I can remember my period has been regular since I started getting them at 10 years old. Since I started tracking my shortest cycle has been 25 days and the longest has been 31. My average cycle length is 29 days.

ah okay, yeah it could be your body is setting up for shark week (your menses). I think at 13dpo that's a safe time to take a test, but if you feel more comfortable, wait maybe two or three more days, and take another just to be certain. Baby dust to you!

Also, sometimes you can have where your body set up for pregnancy, and it just doesn't happen, so it's almost like a reset button for your cycle. It's happened to me where I was 5 days late, and then that shifted my cycle over a week, and another time I was 2 weeks late, practically missing an entire month. I think they call them chemical pregnancies.
