Question

Wondering why I'm not pregnant yet?

My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive for 4 months now and haven't had any luck. I'm kinda curious as to what's going on. Anyone have any advice? We have tried to not try as well and still keep getting disappointed :(

Are you using any apps to track your cycles? Has his sperm count been checked as it could be low?

If you're not already, try tracking your cycles with an app (there's a million of them on your app store) and I also recommend taking your BBT daily. It really helped me figure out that I ovulate earlier in my cycle than average so we could get our timing right.

In terms of TTC 4 months is not very long. It takes the average perfectly healthy couple an average of 6 months to conceive. When you boil it down to that was 4 eggs, each only viable for 12 hours, that a sperm had to find and fertilize and then that fertilized egg had to travel down and implant. Every cycle you have a 20% chance that every will go right and you will be pregnant. 4 months may feel like a long time, but don't give up yet! There's every chance there is nothing wrong ( and most doctors will say the same and wouldn't want to see you for testing till you have been trying for 12 months).

Are you using opks or temping to track O? Timing your sex? if you use lubricant is it sperm friendly?

I track my cycles and my ovulation as well. Never tracked my BBT I don't know how to do that. I've had and have endometriosis and PCOS but had that with my son and still got pregnant. Im just lost on how this goes about. His Sperm hasn't. Web counted for. That was gonna be our next thing we tried to do. I'm just hoping we can have one. I'm 27 and don't wanna be older and have kids haha. I have a doc spot on the 7th of July. Hoping she gives me good news for my lady organs haha. Thabks ladies!

4 months- a year are pretty average. I know it seems like it would be easy for but many it is hard...and if you are worried about his swimmers just make sure he takes vitamins, loose boxers, and stays away from the Jacuzzi/sauna...and not smoking(pot or cigs because both can adversely effect his swimmers). Maybe talk with your ob about your concerns. I do recommend getting a basal body thermometer and take it at the at the same time each AM because along with check your cervical mucus it can help you find any problems that crop up. I use fertility friend some people really like Taking charge of your fertility. Plus there is this great show called The Great Sperm Race that I found in segment on youtube that was just really interesting on male reproduction. Anyway don't loose heart. Sticky baby dust to all.
