Too early to take a digital test?

I am what I believe to be 11/12dpo with expected period possibly Saturday. I've taken a few test and have had what I believe to be very faint positives. I'm wanting to try a digital test, is it too soon? How many dpo did you use a digital and get a positive result and what brands do you recommend for early testing. Thank you!
