8 months off BCP, Sore nipples and cramping, expected period is eight days late

Hi all,
I need some advice in what you think is going on. I am 25 and I have been off birth control for 8 months. The cycles have ranged from 28-31 days. Two cycles ago however, the cycle was 34 days and then my last one was 31. I am now on cycle day 39 with no period. My nipples started to feel sore when touched about a week ago, it's not as bad now but still noticeable. I've also been bloated the past week and a half then early this morning I started cramping in the pelvic area along with some dull back cramping. I took a test four days ago and one this afternoon and both were negative. Is there a possibility I could still be pregnant and I should wait to take another test? Any advice / experience info would be great!
