Question

Measuring 2 days behind at first ultrasound after IUI (measured 5+4 when I should be 5+6).

I had a trigger shot on April 26 at 8pm and IUI at 8am on April 28th which should have made me 5w6d on Thursday May 25. The week prior the nurse called with my HcG results (2071 at 19dpo) and told me to schedule an ultrasound for "next week" (meaning Thursday or Friday (5/25 or 5/26). I made the appt for Thursday the 25th. The ultrasound tech was all annoyed that they had me come in so early and said all she could see was a sack and yol but that was normal for 5.4 (which is what the computer said I was based on my LMP. But bc I know when I ovulated due to IUI and trigger I told her I wasn't 5.4 I was 5.6. She insisted that I was 5.4 and the ultrasound looked the way it should for that timing. The doc was equally annoyed that I was scheduled so early and said "this could go either way". And tried to find out if we had sex after the IUI to try to explain the two days off. We did have sex later the day of IUI but not again for another week so it has to be April 28. Is

Honestly most professionals will tell you born to bother with a scan that early.
It was explained to me by a sonographer when I was pregnant with my second
She said Think about the size of what they are looking at, baby is crazy tiny, and when they have to zoom in that much the edges of the image can become blurry and then they have to guess where the edges are to take a measurement. At that early, 1/10th of a millimetre can be days worth of difference, which is why they normally say that scans (especially that early!) can easily and often be out by + or - 6 days.
2 days difference is not even worth mentioning at this stage! So you have absolutely nothing to worry about!
Congratulations!

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question Mistique! I am a nervous wreck over here assuming I'm going to miscarry again (I suffered my first miscarriage at the and of January after a year of TTC). It was such a horrible experience and I just can't help thinking this one will end the same way. But I'm not bleeding or spotting and other than a bit of heaviness in my uterus every once in a while I'm not feeling any cramping either. Sometimes my lower back does hurt tho. It did seem to me that the nurse made a mistake scheduling me so early but so many people on the internet seem to get heartbeats at that stage and the doc didn't seem to reassuring, saying "this could go either way at this point". So I left pretty defeated and sad.

I had a dating scan when I was 7 weeks and 3 days going from my lmp. The scan dated me 7 weeks and 1 day. The tech said measuring 2 days behind wasn't a problem being a early scan. Next scan at 9 weeks and 1 day I was measuring 2 days ahead.
From your HCG levels at 19 DPO everything sounds super promising. Good luck and stay positive :)
