The fetal age is (basically) the date of conception (7wks), 9 weeks pregnant is a gestational date, meaning it's the fetal age plus 2 weeks. When doctors talk pregnancy to a woman, they talk gestational age (not the age of the baby itself) and base it off the woman's last menstrual period. "Textbook" menstrual cycles have a woman ovulating 2 weeks after the first day of her period, this is why they add 2wks to the fetal age and make it gestational. Confusing, I know! Either way, ur clear.

What dakotagurrl said. A baby that's 9 weeks old now is based on her cycle on or around March 18th. To get pregnant that cycle, conception likely happened from intercourse on or around April 1st. You had intercourse on or around Feb 11th. So conception from that date is not possible.

Ok well we actually had sex also on 27 March (7 weeks ago), but this was with a condom and even though we used a condom I still didn't ejaculate because I was tired and also the condom didn't break.
So it's possible that a baby that's 9 weeks on ultrasound could have been conceived 7 weeks ago (this seems totally counter-intuitive!)
