anyone else had a missed period and had cramps that feel higher than would be for a period?

AF is late ...which of course I don't mind, however I have had a lot of cramping, most of which feels higher than usual, I would usually have cramps lower down, I don't know if this is a good thing as despite lots of symptoms and AF being late I am still getting BFNs. I suppose it could be just wind, but not sure what other reason it would be. Anyone else had cramps higher following a missed period?
