Chemical pregnancy? Please help!
On 10-14dpo I have had very faint positives on my first response early detection tests. The line got fainter. AF was due yesterday, and I started bleeding bright red last night. This morning there is heavy bleeding, just like a period. The test this morning is even more faint, still positive but very very faint. I guess I would have been 4 weeks pregnant as of yesterday? Am I having a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage? This is my first time trying so I am not too depressed about it. Is there any risk that it is ectopic? I am so freaked out about that.

My guess is it's a chemical; I wouldn't worry too much about an ectopic - I never had one, but I heard that the bleeding and pain don't usually start until around 6 weeks after you miss your period. If you're concerned though give your doctor a call. The phone call is free and they'll be able to give you some answers.

It does sound like a chemical pregnancy, given that your hpt lines are getting fainter. I believe if it was ectopic your tests would continue to get darker, as it means you've implanted but in the wrong place...you'd continue to produce hcg. I'd say monitor how you're feeling, and if you feel unusual pain or discomfort check with a doctor. And happy to hear you're not too upset! While chemicals can be a sad thing, it also means you were able to conceive, even if this one only lasted a short time (which is so, so common). Good luck going forward!
