Clomid after 1 year and 3 months of trying - am I fertile??
Hello you great women out there! Can you hjelp me answer this? I am 33 year old woman and have in our 1 year and 3 months of trying just had one missed abortion. In my twenties i suffered from anorexia but recovered 7 years ago and have 33 days regular cycles. LH tests are positive. But we just can't seem to get pregnant! I am pushing 34, i am so worried i tok first 50 mg, did not work. Two months pause. This month I took 100 mg clomid to quickstart the system.

are you taking clomid under medical supervision? you should, only a doctor can tell you how many follicles grow on clomid and whether or not your ovulate at all. LH alone is not indicative. one may get a surge and still not ovulate, or one ovulates but the tubes are blocked so the egg cannot pass. these things must be clarified before taking clomid. and remember there is always a risk also for overstimulation - if you are not controlled you run the danger of producing too many follicles / eggs / embryos / babies...
and then in some women clomid interferes with uterine lining, it may get too thin for an egg to implant. so it is necessary that you get US during clomid cycles.
normally one does not need pauses on clomid, one takes it for up to 5-6 months without break.
