Need some advise please??
So doc said yesterday that from the looks of CM there may be a possibility that i didnt ovulate this cycle and that could be the cause of my now 12 day late period. He said to monitor my cycle for 4 more months but if AF hasn't come after 2 more times to come back ASAP. First, should you still get your period at usual time if no ovulation occured? Second, I don't track ovulation is there still a chance after 12 days late that it was late ovulation? Third, is there a chance I could be pregnant still? Doc did urine test and so have I but all came back negative. With my son I didn't get a positive until I was around 7-8 weeks along. Just wondering when this will be over and if it would be a waste of money if buy some more tests? Any advise will help!

Use this calculator to help you decide when to take your first home pregnancy test.

It is very unlikely that you are pregnant. Not impossible but very unlikely. That being said, if you do not ovulate, you can still get your period. At the beginning of our cycles, estrogen causes the endometrium to thicken in preparation for pregnancy. If pregnancy doesn't occur, it sheds. Ovulation is another process which occurs separately from the thickening of the endometrium. If ovulation occurs and the released egg doesn't get fertilized, it absorbs into the endometrium and sheds as well. So while you can still get your period if you didn't ovulate, it is impossible that you would get pregnant if you didn't ovulate. Late ovulation is a possibility. You could just have a very long follicular phase. If I were you I would get more ovulation tests and keep testing until you get a positive. You could also start tracking your BBT.
