I'm 9dpo and had a positive opk. I'm confused. Any experiences with this?
I took an hcg strip this morning and saw a shadow of a line but I've seen evaps on them before so not hopeful. I decided to take an opk out of curiosity and it was very dark. I'm not sure how it's possible or why it would occur. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ur LH levels fluctuate throughout the cycle, so it's def not unheard of to have a dark opk or a surge, at any point. It's completely normal, and in no way indicative of pregnancy! Just to clear up any confusion, cuz it's obvs there is some, an OPK is NOT more sensitive than a hpt. That's yet another rumour continually being spread! The most sensitive OPK registers at 20mIU, hpts can pick up 10mIU (some less). I've never had a positive opk before a hpt, ever, and they're always the first to go neg during a mc.
Anywayyys, try another hpt in a day or so. Eventually the evaps won't be evaps!!
Good luck! =))

So to prove ur point, ur comparing the most sensitive OPK with a hpt that isn't the most sensitive available, and using an LH level that's half that of a surge? Smfh, convenient. Just becuz U have a dark opk (which I assume is not a positive) the same day as ur hpt (which happens to be at the end of ur cycle, right around the time u have a surge), doesn't make it more sensitive than an hpt. I don't even know why u would say that. Ur actually encouraging ppl to test with OVULATION tests becuz U had a dark line. U should listen to urself some time, u might see just how crazy u sound. Wow, there's always one!!!
