Question

How can I lengthen my luteal phase?

My luteal phase is really short. I got my first pos opk only 6 days before my period started, giving me an approximately 5 day luteal phase. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and ended up using Progesterone cream to lengthen my luteal phase from 5-6 days to 10-12. After 5 years TTC, I actually ended up pregnant using this method. There's a lot of information online about it, but it's best to talk to your OB so you can monitor your cycles, and you need to stay on it while pregnant as well.

R u charting temps at all? A positive opk doesn't mean u actually ovulated at that time. U could be O'ing much earlier and that's just a normal mid-luteal positive. If u definitely are O'ing 5 or 6 days before af arrives, then u need to speak with a Dr.
Good luck! =))

if you know exactly when you ovulate you can take progesterone suppositories from day 2 to day 10 after ovulation, but please first check with your OB.
