How can a test turn positive without implantation? I had a miscarriage last month.

I thought you couldn't get a positive pregnancy test unless the egg actually implants. My doctor told me the egg never implanted. How is it that the pregnancy tests still came back positive? Even the blood pregnancy test.

Sorry for your loss...technically the egg implants and then hormone production begins...hence rise in hcg and pos preg test. Maybe he meant it didn't develope?? Blighted ovum or something. I would get a second opinion. I had a doc tell me I mc only to find out I did not.
