Question

Please describe your first AF after MC.

How long until you got it? How long did it last? Was it heavy or light? If you were taking opks, what CD did you ovulate that cycle? My first AF took about 10 weeks after mc to arrive and has been normal flow but lasting 11 days and counting. We want to try this cycle but completely confused about when I should expect to ovulate. My fertile window is supposed to start tomorrow but if I'm still spotting I'm not sure that's possible. I'll use opks but would love some feedback. Thanks.

I was 6w4d when I miscarried. My period came after 5 weeks and was fine. There was nothing exceptional about it apart from how sad it was and I didn't ovulate the first month before that first period

Thanks. I'm finding myself more emotional in the process of ttc again than when I was when it first happened. I think I thought it wouldn't take long to get pregnant again and 3 months later we haven't even been able to start trying again. It's frustrating to say the least.

I miscarried on Nov. 19 and had a D&C the same day. I had heavy bleeding and then a complication which caused me to hemorrhage a week later on Nov. 25. After that, it took 3.5 weeks for my period to come. I ovulated two weeks later (confirmed with OPKs). However, I didn't conceive as I'm not on my period again. Both periods post miscarriage have been very heavy and painful with much more bleeding and tissue than "normal". I'm assuming it will take a couple of cycles to get my body back to normal.

I'm also struggling emotionally. It took us almost a year to conceive (it was our first baby) and I didn't miscarry until week 12 which was really hard and felt like it came out of the blue.

I hope it gets better for you. But if you haven't had your period by 12 weeks post miscarriage I would call your care provider. They may be able to help you out or even give you the "period pill" which jump starts your cycle.

Best of luck! May we all get our rainbow babi

Thanks bonnie1086. I had thought the bleeding had stopped yesterday just to.have it increase and turn bright red with large clumps of tissue. I saved some of the tissue for my dr to test in case they ask. I'm waiting to hear back from my dr abt what to do but I'd really like to have an ultrasound to confirm there isn't anymore tissue. I can't believe this is happening almost 3 months later. I was excited to get my AF again thinking we could try this month but I'm not sure what to think.
