OPK versus BBT.............The controversy
So I have been BBT and OPK simultaneously. When TTC my DD, we tried 3 months and conceived with the help of OPK and BBT.
We have been TTC #2 now for 8 cycles. I only starting using Clear Blue Advanced last 2 cycles. The last 2 cylces, my OPK results didn't match my BBT. For example, I would get a High and 2 Peak days, but FF wouldn't show my ovulation until DAYSS later. My OBGYN stated that he thinks I O around 10 or 11, which is close to the OPK. FF has been thinking day 14 or 15 (which is close to what I used to think).
My doc hasn't tested me yet for that (only tested FSH- normal). But I think I should trust the OPK since that's more scientific.
What are people's feelings on this???
All I know is I am getting tired and hopeless of doing all this work! HAHA It's a FT job to temp, chart, POAS, wait......
I am giving up hope!

Questions don't bump to the top, unfortunately. Tbh, I hold more stock in bbt than I do opk's. If bbt is done correctly, it's more accurate than a correctly done opk. Test sensitivity, time of day vs time of surge, urine concentration and several other factors can alter the results of the opk...not to mention that a positive opk doesn't mean an egg was released. U can surge numerous times and never ovulate, u can never catch a surge but O every cycle. The two together, work great, but if I had to choose between them, I trust temps.
Can u post (or pm me) a link to ur ff charts? FF is usually pretty accurate, u may need to change ur settings tho.
