Ovulated on 50mg clomid but didn't get pregnant, any reason to think 100mg will make a difference?

I have PCOS. I take Metformin and I've done 4 cycles on 50mg of clomid. I've ovulated every time. This is my 5th and last round before a break from the meds. Doc is upping dose to 100mg for this round. Is there any reason why this should work better or make any difference? I'm willing to try of course but not sure if I should really get my hopes up that anything will be different this round.

It may cause you to have a more mature egg at ovulation or even more than one.
