Can evap lines be colored?

So I took a New Choice Dollar Store test this morning at 5:30am. I waited two minutes and there was nothing, so I put the stick on the dresser and went back to bed. I woke up three hours later and checked the test and there was a second pink line (was not super faded, but not super dark either). I don't know if this showed up after 5 minutes or 2 hours. What do evap lines look like? I read that they usually aren't pink. Is this true?
