Ovulation, then 24hrs later period for 5 days?

Okie dokie... to start off, alcohol WAS involved. My husband and I went to dinner Friday night and had a couple of drinks. It was 7 post period (14 days into my cycle)...we had "fun" Friday night lol and I took an Ovulation test Saturday morning and it was CLEAR I was ovulating. The test was darker than the control. Then Saturday night I got my period? Tampon worthy for about 5 days. It was kinda clotty but nothing out of the irregular for me. I'm assuming because I bled for 5 days I got a period but has this happened to anyone else? We aren't trying but we aren't preventing... we didn't really want to start until our 4 year wedding anniversary next September of 2017... any advice is greatly appreciated. I've been off birth control since November 2015. It's June 2016... I still cannot say I have a "regular" periods... but I've never even had only a week off then a period. It's still usually around two weeks period free and one week period... so 21 day cycle... than
