Did I ovulate or not? What is a cover line? Help?
I'm 100% confused . Idk when and if I'm ovulating, what a cover line is or what this means. I have PCOS and I lost 33 pounds so this is my 1st cycle I've had on my own without medication. It took 40 days for me to have this one. I feel like I have 1001 questions. Does the dip at the end mean my next cycle is about to start? My doctor advised me not to use an OPK because it gives me false positives and I'm also on metfomin. I've had nothing but cramps, nausea and tingly boobs the past couple days. 2 nights ago I had to pee literally every 2 hours and I had vivid dreams and I can barely remember my dreams but this one I could. I took a PT and it was negative.

Hi! First off, congrats on your weight loss! Looking at the chart on your page, I don't see that ovulation has occurred. A coverline is a visual tool to help you easily see your pre- and post-ovulation temperatures. It has no physiological significance whatsoever so where it is placed does not have much importance as long as it helps you to see your ovulation pattern. Under FAM (fertility awareness method) settings, the software will place the coverline at one tenth of a degree higher than the 6 previous temperatures before ovulation. Have you gone for CD3 and 21 day testing? These tests are the best ways to see if you in fact ovulating or not. I don't know a ton about PCOS but I do know that is can cause long, anovulatory cycles. If not, maybe see if your doctor will send you for some testing or refer you to an RE for testings. Good luck!
