HEAVY PAINFUL PERIODS AFTER D&C OR MC

This is the third period after a d&c and itd so much heavier and painful and long compared to before. My periods use to be 3-4 days.. med-light and now its days od spotting.. heavy bleeding and cramps.. includig spotting itd lasting like 8-13 days.. ugh. Is this normal? Anynody else experience this? Does it get better?
