Miscarriage or unusual blood clot?

I'm healthy enough as a woman, had a checkup 1 month ago but somehow I was late with my period(5 days late) this month(weird cause I'm always regular). All preg tests said negative, right now I'm on period day 2 and It's not a too heavy of a period, not too much cramping but I just got a clot(idk if it's a clot though). I sometimes have clots, they are easy to break apart, flat, this one was bigger than a 5 cent coin and didn't break apart unless you pull and rip it and did not dissolve under water, could it be tissue and worst, even if for some reason I didn't have positive preg tests but actually was preg (heard some people don't get results right away) could've I had a miscarriage that soon? and would it look like my description?
