Clomid Ladies?! Did you ovulate at normal time?
Hi! I am on CD8... I took 100mg Clomid on CD3-7... I normally ovulate around CD15-17 but am paranoid it's going to bump up my ovulation and I will miss it. My RE has me starting OPKs CD9 so I should be covered and I go for an U/S on CD12... this is my first time on Clomid and will be our first IUI cycle which we have to pay out of pocket for so of course I want to make sure we "get our money's worth"....
I'm just wondering if any ladies noticed their ovulation date changed when on Clomid?

I wouldn't stress..... Most likely you will go in cd 12 and they will tell you how close to ovulating you are. It never made me ovulate early, if anything it was a couple days later. I've taken 3 rounds 50 mg. I took it this cycle at 100 mg cd 4-8. I was out of town cd3 and didn't have the meds so I had to start a day later, so I'm hoping for the best! The general rule of thumb is it can be 5-10 days after the last pill that you can ovulate, but ovulation should occur roughly about a week after your last dose! So no worries, I think your covered with cd 12 ultrasound!

Thanks millbarmett! I started feeling some ovulation type pain in my left side (only ovary side) today so started stressing a bit. I decided to take a ovulation test today and it was negative but not by as much as I would expect at CD8... Normally I start testing at CD10 and the test line is super light so that's what I was expecting. I guess we'll wait and see.

Hi, I took clomid initially at 50 mg and finally at 100mg, day 2- day 6 and I always ovulated on day 14/day 15. My Doc said the main aim of clomid was to make you ovulate textbook style which is day 14 for a standard 28 day cycle. This was true for me as I used to ovulate between day 18- day 21 before going on clomid. I have read you should wait for atleast 3 days after your last clomid pill to start ovulation testing as otherwise you might get a false positive. If you get ewcm that is a good way to check if you are in your fertile period. I found on most cycles by day 10/ 11, I would have ewcm and I would start my ovulation testing. But there is no harm in starting to bd as soon as your period is over, so just in case you ovulate early you haven't missed out! Good luck and baby dust!

Thanks Ladies... what about BBT? Did any of you temp while on it... I have read mixed things on temping/Clomid. My Pre-O temps have been slightly elevated (they are usually around 36/36.1 but this cycle have been 36.2) and this morning (CD9) I had a big temp jump to 36.4 which is my usually post O temp :( My CF isn't a very good predictor for me (never has been). I do have a headache this morning so maybe I'm fighting something off that could account for the temp spike... ugh... I hate not knowing what's happening in my body! My RE told me to start OPKs at CD 9 - I took one yesterday at CD8 because of the ovulation pain I was feeling and it was negative for sure... this morning with SMU it was negative again... I still feel my ovary pain this morning so I guess I will just have to wait until Sunday for my U/S.

Hi, I didn't temp so sorry I can't be of much help there. But before I got my BFP I was super warm and felt really hot even when the weather was pretty chilly. I still feel hot and I'm told it is a common symptom in early pregnancy. Hope that helps! Good luck with 100 mg clomid as that is what did the trick for me! Baby dust to you! :)
