17dpo, faint positives and brown spotting
I'm 17dpo and have had faint positives since 12dpo. Starting today, I've had some light brown spotting/discharge. I had a chemical a few years ago but can't remember if I had brown discharge before the full red flow. Thoughts?

Spotting and light bleeding can happen in early pregnancy and the pregnancy go on to be perfectly normal and healthy. Or spotting can mean a miscarriage.
I know with my first MC I started spotting around 6 weeks. It was just the tiniest bit of brown spotting at first. I called my doctor the next morning and she told me to think of it as "anytime there are major hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy, there is a chance of spotting or light bleeding." I was told to call the office and let them know if the spotting increased or if I started having cramping also. Unfortunately, in my case, it wasn't perfectly normal and I started bleeding heavily 2 days after the brown spotting and had a miscarriage.
I know it is hard but I'd suggest trying to use to "today I'm pregnant" mantra. Today it is just some light brown spotting and everything is okay. Try not to worry about it (as impossible as that is). You should also let your doctor know what is going on.
