Question

Stinging pain a sign of miscarriage?

Hello
I have started bleeding when I urinate. It started Sunday afternoon, I went to the hospital who did an internal scan. The scan showed a pregnancy sac of 5 weeks, they said I could be earlier than I thought (i thought I was 8) no embryo or yolk sac was found. Im still bleeding when I urinate, got stomach cramping and it stings when I go toilet. Ive got to go back for a scan next week but as you can imagine my head is in bits. Does this sound like a miscarriage? i just want to know if I can grieve or not!

Sounds like a uti. Stinging/burning when you pee is a sure sign. The blood in urine can be a sign it probably moved to your kidneys and you have a mild kidney infection. Have the doctor see if you have that. Hopefully this is the problem and not a miscarriage.

How awful for you, your must be going out of your mind! I had a friend who had the same sort of thing, she was about 9 weeks. Like the previous lady said, hers also turned out to be a urine infection. With a mc, I don't think it causes stinging when you wee. I had a mc ar 7 weeks, and was bleeding all the time. My fingers and everything are crossed for youtras

Yes this sounds like a urine/ kidney infection. A uti was one of the early signs of oregnancy for me (strange I know!), it sounds like you may need antibiotics - get to the doctor as soon as you can.
