Question

Blight ovum/ miscarriage... When will the heavy bleeding begin?

I am currently in the middle of an early miscarriage. I went to my OB today for a follow up sono as i was doagnosed with a Blighted Ovum last week and have been spotting/bleeding (only while on toilet) for about 4/5 days. we still saw a gestational sac. The shape of the sac is now changed which i assume is do The sac itself diminishing. My doctor is allowing me to postpone the D&C, as I would like to do this naturally. Does anyone have any personal knowledge about this? When will I start to bleed heavier/pass this gest sac??? Want this over and done with so we can start ttc again. I have another appt next week and i only can pray my body does what it is supposed to!

When going through my MC, I believe taking an aspirin a day really helped everything along and allowed me to have a natural MC at home. I did cramp in my back for 5 days before my MC actually took place. It will be painful and uncomfortable. I'm really sorry to hear you are going thru this. Hugs**

So sorry for your loss! I also had a miscarriage due to blighted ovum recently. It was just spotting/ like a light period for a week then at exactly 12 weeks I had the miscarriage. Luckily for me it happened late afternoon, lots of pain a few hours before then the HEAVY bleeding started (I could not leave the toilet) and passed the sac. The next morning and day time it was like a heavy period with no pain, then around the same time that next day the bleeding started again, it was worse than I ever could have imagined and the pain was unreal! (I didn't realise it was possible to bleed so much, I was not far from passing out. Nobody ever tells you what it is really like so its a shock when it happens). Its really not nice but it doesn't last long thankfully. That night everything else passed then the pain stopped completely and it was like a normal period for another week. It took 5 weeks to get my first cycle (usually have a 27 day cycle) and after that everything was back to normal.
