Sorry you're feeling down! It is emotionally draining but do what you can to remain positive. The good news is you have a plan and many women conceive on their first cycle of Clomid! I unfortunately was not one of them and am currently in the TWW of my third Clomid cycle. I do recommend using OPK's but be sure not to start until 3 days after your last dose of Clomid. Since you're taking days 5-9 you will take your first OPK on day 12. Any earlier and you'll get false high readings. Some think Clomid dries up their CM so preseed will definitely help but based on experience, less is more :) It comes with applicators to apply inside and you can measure it out. Just start with a little as you can add more if you want but once you use too much it's hard to get rid of and clean up! Lol. On my first cycle I really felt the side effects; hot flashes, mood swings and major O pains/cramping. Best of luck and tons of baby dust to you! Keep us updated! :)

I got pregnant the very first time i used clomid! I didnt use preseed or ovulation test. My doc told me to start intercourse on day 11 ( which we started on day 9 lol) and go every other day until past the fertile window. We are actually trying for baby#2 now i was on clomid this round also we find out feb.12th if we are regnant! Good luck to you!
