Day 22 Progesterone levels of 30nmol/l is it sufficient??
Hi, I am on 50 mg clomid, day 2- day 6. I ovulated on day 15 and so had my day 22 progesterone blood test. The level came back as 30nmol/l. Is this sufficient to sustain a pregnancy or am i out this month? Any info or advice would be great. I will be getting in touch with my doctor but would love to have some information in the meantime.

That would require supplementation to sustain a pregnancy, BUT P4 levels increase with pregnancy so ur levels may rise enough to carry without issue. Worry about that bridge when u come to it tho. That number is fairly low for a decent O, esp medicated, but that doesn't mean u can't get/remain pregnant. See what ur Dr says.
Good luck! =))

Thanks Dakotagurl! Before medication my progesterone was 15 nmol/l so it has improved but not sure whether Doc will further increase the dose of clomid to get a better level of progesterone. Have to wait and see. I was just wondering if the level was enough to allow implantation and sustain a pregnancy.

15? Wow! I take it those were anov cycles?
Ur levels are enough to allow implantation, and like I said, the pregnancy itself could produce a lot more to help sustain it. Progesterone is a pretty easy fix. She could increase ur clomid dose but it could affect the lining and cm, which wouldn't really help the sperm/egg meeting or implantation. U could look at adding B6 to ur daily routine (or increasing the dosage if u already take it), that's known to increase progesterone. Every little bit helps! =))
Hope ya get some good news soon!

Hi Dakotagurl, no I have always had regular periods(31 days cycles). I get positive ovulation tests and a period 14 days after. I did miss one cycle in Dec 2014 and also had one cycle in 2015 which was 49 days but the rest of my cycles in 2015 have been between 27-34 days with most of them being 31 days. I was surprised when the doc put me on clomid and said I might not be ovulating properly as I have always had 31 day cycles except for what I mentioned above. I am taking a multivitamin tablet which contains B6. The first month on clomid I had a level of 35 nmol/l, which the doc was happy with but it didn't lead to conception. Anyway I will check with him regarding this month, fingers crossed!

R we all using the same units of measurement here? 15nmol converts to under 5ng (the unit most use when referring to progesterone) and 20 is just above 6ng. Under 5 doesn't confirm O and 6 barely confirms and won't carry a pregnancy. My ob wants over 35nmol (11ng) or he'll start supplementing.
Ur not much lower from last cycle, at least ur way past 15...that's a def positive for ttc. =))
Anyways, I'm sure ur Dr will be of more help, they all have their preferences for hormone levels. Hopefully u get to speak to him soon. Fingers crossed for this cycle.

Hi Mozart, good to see you around! And always a wealth of knowledge.I managed to rummage through my file and found my doc had written if progesterone Less than 30 increase dose of clomid, if between 30-80 nmol/l continue with same dose of clomid, and if above 80 nmol/l then reduce dose of clomid. Since mine is border line at 30nmol/l with 50 mg of clomid I am bit unsure what he is going to do. Still waiting to hear back from the doctors secretary. Anyway fingers crossed till af arrives!
