When should I test?

I ovulated 8 days ago and feel extremely sleepy and lower cramps in my abdomen. My cycle is due in 6 days. Is it too soon to test?

far too soon, wait at least 3-4 more days
the symptoms come from progesterone, they are not pregnancy-related
