How long are your cycles ? not every woman ovulates half way through their cycle on day 12 for example i have 35 day cycles if i had sex on day 12/13/14 it would be pointless because i don't ovulate until day 20 so i would be out that month .The easiest way is to use ovulation tests you can get a pack of 30 on eBay for a few pounds start testing from after your period ends if your cycles are irregular and look out for signs of ovulation ( one sided cramps + fertile cm + increased sex drive ) after a postive OPK a woman normally ovulate 24hrs later its best to always do the deed when you see fertile cm as sperm can live in it for a few days and wait for the egg to be released. And for the result you can do a pregnancy test as early as 6 days before your period is due with the right brands like first response early response the tests become more accurate closer to your expected period GL.
