Confused... help!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for looking at my post.

I ovulated quite late this cycle (cd22) which is not usual for me. I BD'd with DH right before ovulation.
No real symptoms until 7dpo when I had dull, mild-moderate, low cramping all day. After that I had no symptoms. My period was due 2 days ago, but since I ovulated late this cycle, I believe that this could cause late period too. Is my period late because i may be pregnant or just late because of late O?
I tested BFN yesterday (9dpo). But i swear that 7dpo cramping was implantation. Am I just wishful thinking? We only BD'd one day. I HATE waiting!!!
