wierd cycle . need answers please

has anyone had a period last 7 days not heavy at all , then for another 5 days bleed brown , then another 2 days bleed red , but the brown and red wasnt enough to be on a pad the last 7 days . what possibly would do that ? I have been moody , tired , sweating at night and eating alot . never had a 14 day period . doctor thought i was prego . he did a urine came back negative . so he did bloodwork to see if my hormones were out of whack . has anyone had this before ????
