Question

Cycles & Ovulation *** Which is my true period??

Okay ladies, I am new to this so please patient. I was on the oral BC Apri for about a year, recently decided to stop and TTC. I took my last red pill on July 25th, started the placebo the next day on the 26th and started bled the 29th through the 3rd of August. After finishing the last placebos on the first of August I did not start my new pack. August 8th I started to bleed again and this lasted until the 10th of August. Here is where I am confused. Which one do I count as the first day of my last menstrual period so that I can start tracking ovulation?? Or is it best to wait till I get my next period to even start trying to calculate ovulation? Was the first period just withdrawal bleeding the second my true period? My periods have always been very regulated and BC was strictly started for preventative precautions. I would really appreciate anyone's help or input!! Thanks!!

Wait until your next period to try and track. And you likely will not jump back to a normal cycle length or ovulate right away. I was 100% regular pre-pill and then had very long cycles after it. And even anovulatory ones. You may need to start OPKS and temping to predict and confirm ovulation is occurring.
