Question

Positive ovulation test 2 days in a row?

I hate ovulation kits. I have used them off and on for the past 3 years and have only ever gotten 1 positive, although I know I've ovulated because I've had progesterone tests after. Anyway, so this month I start testing at 2pm and 6pm starting at cd12 and get a positive at cd17. BUT something told me to test at 9:30am on cd17 and I got a positive. I got a negative at 2pm and 7pm that same day. I got all excited because I got a positive so we BD last night. Today, cd18, I get another positive at 7:30am and at 9:30am. Is that possible or do I just suck at testing?
Also, I feel flushed this morning (cd18) which is unusual for me, so my temps up although I can't check it right now. Should I take today as ovulation day?

It's normal to have a positive opk for 1-2 days, 3 days max, depending when you caught the surge. Sometimes our bodies have trouble ovulating and so may try surging again which might explain the positive-negative-positive sequence you had. Or maybe your urine wasn't concentrated enough on cd17 when you tested at 2 and 7pm.
