The metformin regulated my periods the first month the first time I started it in 2013, now this time around it hasn't helped at all just to be more clear.

I've taken 1500mg for the first four years and it did nothing. It got increased in april to 2500mg and this along with saw palmento and liquorice root my cycles are regular now. Still no bfp though and got a blood test next week to see if I am actually ovulating. Good luck hope it works a second time around. PS I had it increased as my weight had increased and a low dose that I was on wouldn't work with my body weight, so I was told by my endo.

Thank you for your help. Where did you get The liquorice root and the saw palmento? I asked my Dr about uping my dose of metformin but she didn't want to bc my sugar levels were normal. I am overweight though but the metformin hasn't helped any with me losing weight. I guess its time for me to suck it up and eat better and exercise. Lol

Oh and I'm supposed to go to my endo next month. Do you happen to have thyroid issues? They think I might have hypothyroid.

I have high blood sugar levels so that's why my metformin was increased. The saw palmento and liquorice root I got off ebay and I don't have anything wrong with my thyroid. Metformin hasn't helped me loose weight either.
