Possibly still pregnant after abortion?
I found out I was pregnant recently and had a lot of pressure from my family to get an abortion because I am only 19 and not living a life stable enough yet to have a child, I ended up getting a surgical abortion at 6 weeks gestational age and that was about a week and a half ago. The morning sickness I had which was awful went away but I still feel like somehow I may still be pregnant.. I took a hpt out of curiosity today it was strong positive, test line darker than the control.. Now with me not being very far along like I said I had the procedure at 6 weeks gestation.. Now I know you can still get a positive test after an abortion but shouldn't my hcg hormones be decreasing and my test be fading rather than staying dark almost two weeks later? I've also heard the surgical abortion is less effective in early pregnancy.. There was no ultrasound done after the procedure at planned parenthood.. Is there a possibility I could still be pregnant or is this all in in my head?

Hi i had one when I was quite young I was 12 weeks along and I took a test a week later and it was negative, they say u shouldn't have one before 8 weeks as they could miss it with it being so small. You should of been given a tablet that forces miscarriage u defo shouldn't of had the surgical one! I'd go to your doctor and explain and have some blood work done! Good luck hope you get the result you are after. X
