Question

Is this something to be excited about? I don't want to get my hopes up

Hi everyone, my husband & I have been trying for a baby for >1yr. We were supposed to meet with a specialist today about it, as I only have 1 functioning ovary. I took a pregnancy test today just to be sure. It is around the time I get my cycle, but haven't had any of the symptoms. The first test looked faintly positive Then I took a clear blue digital that said "Pregnant 1-2". I called the clinic and they had me do a blood draw, however my level came back at only 34.9 . Should I be worried? Do you think this is real? sustainable? I will have a recheck next week after the holiday. I cannot wait for this, as this is all we have ever wanted. I know they say 50 is a magic number, and i know the number can double every 3 days or so, but I wanted to hear from you all, if you have ever had a "lower level" like this. thank you in advance!
Hoping our dreams will finally come true!

Congratulations, anything above 5 is considered pregnant. In early pregnancy HCG should double approx. every 48 hours. If you are concerned you could request and earlier HCG recheck. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the HCG being 34.9. What's more important is that it keeps rising appropriately. There is nothing else you can do but wait or request a blood test for Saturday - if this is an option. Best wishes.
