Question

Ovulation Tests don't work on me!?

Well today is the 14th day in my seemingly normal 29 day cycle, which means it's my ovulation day! Every 14th day of my cycle, I get one sided cramps, that's how I understand I'm ovulating. I believe I'm ovulating right now because of the one sided pain and the timing...

HOWEVER...

We failed getting pregnant last month, although we didn't hit most of the latter part of my window, we thought we were good. *Buzz* wrong!!! BIG FAT NEGATIVE

So this month, I'm been using ovulation tests so we don't "wear ourselves out as much" as my honey puts it.

I've been taking one every morning since the 10th day into this cycle. This morning, after sleeping 7 hours so my urine was nice and concentrated. I prefer to collect and test, rather than peeing directly onto it (I've peed on the screen too many times, money wasted)

The one line is there, very bold. Then my line is there, always faint.

Do some women not LH surge in urine? Can leukocytes throw off ovulation tests?

I don't believe you use first morning urine...I usually get my surge in the late afternoon using digital opk. This is my second cycle using them. For each cycle I got my lh surge on cd 10 and 11. This cycle I got my bfp at 12 dpo. I'm currently 17dpo.

Well, the ones I have equate generics of Clearblue easy, it says you're suppose to test with at least 4 hour long held urine. I normally go once every two hours when I'm awake so I chose to test in the morning thinking it would be more concentrated than my usual. The ones I have say that when a surge is indicated, I will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours. I'll try testing again in the late afternoon Thanks

They say the best time to test is between 10am and 8pm and that you should t use FMU (though some people do find this the best). How many times a day are you testing? If you are only testing once a day it's possible you are having a quick surge and it's done by the time you test again. Personally I will start testing at CD 10 twice a day and once it starts getting a little darker I will test even more! I've had a negative at 10am, a positive at 4pm and then a negative at 8pm before!!
