Everyone can be different so it's really hard to pinpoint o! I have read different sources that say You can O anywhere from 12-72 hours after the initial surge!
For me, I generally O the day after my initial LH surge.

A positive opk only indicates that you're GOING to be ovulating, not that you HAVE ovulated. The only reliable way to tell if you've actually ovulated (and what day) is if you're doing your basal body temps. A positive opk generally means that you'll ovulate sometime within the next 12-24 hours or so, depending on how 'early' or 'late' you caught your LH surge. For example, if you got a positive opk on July 1, you'd assume you'd ovulate July 2, therefore you'd count July 3 as 1dpo. Of course one can never be exactly certain on what day you've ovulated, however if you follow this general rule it'll give you a pretty good estimate, give or take a day. As for how soon to take a test, I got a bfp on 8dpo. That's pretty early, but it does happen. Most women will show positive by the first day of their missed period, so 14dpo.
